After a mild winter aided the construction process, we are proud to debut our two new greens on Holes 11 and 13! Designed by golf course architect Tyler Rae, who specializes in renovations to classic, “old school” designs, and supervised by golf course superintendent Jim Morgan, the new complexes opened to rave reviews on May 15th. The 11th hole now features a yawning fairway bunker on the right side approximately thirty yards in front of the green. The green itself is much bigger and has many more hole locations while still offering a challenge. Hole 13 features a two-tier green complete with multiple hole locations on both the top and bottom sections and the top section features a natural “backboard” that blends the green complex with the surrounding terrain. We are very excited as golfers have been raving about the greens since their opening!
Middletown Country Club is paying extremely close attention to information from the CDC and the government regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus as well as cleaning and safety instructions. We are doing our part to clean our facility to ensure the safety and well being of our guests. Middletown Country Club will remain open at this time, unless the situation changes and mandates come from authorities. We want you to know that our guests safety and good health is the top priority of our staff. Our team is also making sure with our limited staff right now that we are following all proper guidelines to make sure our health is of top quality. We thank you for your support and wish everyone good health and best wishes during this ordeal. We will get through this together.
Dear Members of our Swim Club,
Thank you to all of our members for your support and membership in Middletown Country Club’s pool activities. Given the substantial needs for repair, renovation, and/or replacement of the pool, we are very sorry to inform you that the Middletown Country Club pool will not open this spring/summer of 2020. The pool is over 60 years old. We considered multiple alternatives, including replacing the pool completely. Unfortunately, none of the alternatives are feasible. We have communicated with Middletown Township staff members regarding the alternatives and this decision. We will continue to communicate with the township regarding the pool and the grounds and any plans for the future. We have reached out to local swim clubs and here are some options and incentives:
