Middletown Country Club and the Agro Golf Corporation are now in their fifth season of conducting their summertime Junior Golf Program. Sessions 1 and 2 will be concluding this week ending June 30th. Sessions 3 and 4 will begin on Monday, July 1st. Sessions 5 and 6 will begin on July 17th, followed by Sessions 7 and 8 on July 25th. Each two-week session includes 6 2-hour long lessons. We cover all aspects of the game of golf, including putting, chippping and the short game, irons, woods, and course management. We also give the students an overview of the basic rules and etiquette that are vital to the game. We have two seperate age divisions, ages 6-10 and 14 and over. We also are proud to say that we have had quite a growing number of young girls that have learned alongside their male counterparts. Most of the learning sessions are conducted from 4 to 6 PM (6-10 age group) and 6:30-8:30 PM (11-17 age group). Most of the groups are smaller in size, but we don’t turn anyone away. We have plenty of room for the remaining 6 sessions.
The instruction is being conducted by PGA Head Professional Dan Hoban, a member of the Roman Catholic High School and 21st Ward Sports Hall of Fames, and the current head coach of the Roman Catholic High School Golf Team. Hoban has over 20 years of experience teaching junior golfers and is a member of the Philadelphia PGA Growth of the Game Committee and the Junior Golf Committee.
The cost for each two-week session is $125 and registration can be made through the golf shop. Please call 215-757-6951 extension 10 for more information or email Dan Hoban at email@example.com.
We look forward to introducing your son or daughter to the great game of golf or prepare him or her for high school golf!
